Michelle Cutting, SMART Technologies will share the latest from SMART through a Lunch and Learn session. Lunch will begin at 11:30 am.

Version 10.7 now – for new 800 series boards, but works with all models
  • Has calligraphy pen and new shape (heart)
  • Ability for guestures (on 800 board) and flicking things across the screen (all versions)
  • Fixes flash problems with Mac (plugin)
  • Mac patch with download takes care of compatibility issues

  • VE will allow student devices (smart phones and iPod/iPad) to be the response device – in Beta version now (can change setting in curent response systems to make this work for now
Document Camera
  • Newest version (330 series) ready for 3D and mixed reality
  • Uses code on cards to pull up an interactive image (skeleton, molecules, fish) as you move the card, you can look at the image from different angles
  • Can use 3D Google warehouse to include lessons using those images also (not just limited to the content in new software)
  • Easily share snapshots for use in Notebook files

  • Management Tools for Teachers
    • Able to see what students are doing on their computers (tiled thumbnails)
    • Distribute documents to all students
